The Dartford Symphony Orchestra, a community orchestra founded in 1946, performs for local audiences in North West Kent, in series of concerts from September to June each year.
The Orchestra has excelled over the last decade and won new audiences for its performances at the Mick Jagger Centre for the Performing Arts.
Our website offers a brief history of the Orchestra, a rationale for our work in and with the local community, and describes our plans for the 60th Concert Season 2007-2008, and beyond.
The Orchestra receives financial support from, amongst others, Dartford Borough Council, The PRS Foundation, The British Council, Arts Council of Bexley, the National Lottery - Awards for All, and several most generous private donations.
